Silicon Slag is a by-product of silicon metal's production. It contains large metallic silicon and impurities of other elements, can be used as a good deoxidizer in molten steel deoxidization, meanwhile it can also purify the liquid steel. For its low price and good effect, steel-mills use it as a substitute of ferrosilicon.

1. Silicon slag(off grade silicon) is a by-product when making silicon metal.

2. The silicon content is from 45% to 95%, and the rest are C, S, P, Al, SiO2, Fe, Ca etc.
